Thermo Fisher Scientific Launches POWERx X-Ray Product Family

On March 14, Thermo Fisher Scientific announced the official launch of POWEx X-ray products in Shanghai. The product line is a new type of high-performance test product for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. It contains 16 models of the industry's top models ranging from medical glass bottles to large multi-layer packages.

"The POWERx series complements Thermo Scientific's EZx and PROx X-ray systems and extends our X-ray product application capabilities to meet the needs of customers focused on certain areas." Thermo Fisher Scientific Vice President, Global Packaging Sales Mr. Joergen Olsson, president of the company, introduced that, “In addition to POWERx products, we are now able to provide a complete set of testing methods to ensure that our customers' food, beverages and pharmaceutical products meet the highest standards of safety and quality.”

Thermo Scientific's POWERx series achieves high sensitivity and minimizes rejects with the help of high-resolution detectors and sophisticated image analysis software. Its unique foreign object simulation test software can simulate a variety of foreign objects of various types, sizes, and locations, and quickly formulate the best solution for each application. In particular, high-sensitivity foreign objects are detected in high-density containers such as pots, cans, and glass bottles.
