Problems with Press Operation and Solutions

When you walk in the press room, you may often hear complaints from press operators. Although the reasons for their complaints may sound strange, they can be summarized as follows:

3, color control and print content overlap

4, no side marks

5, overlap marks and printed content overlap

6, side marks are not printed on the edge of the page

7, overlap marks and printed content

8, no crop marks

9, no registration mark

10, registration mark position is wrong

11, no rules and center mark

12, the job is not arranged correctly

13, the job did not perform a correct backup

14, wrong version

15, lost pages or wrong pages

16, plate scratches

All the above problems are likely to be discovered during the preparation of the printing press. At that time, the printing plate has been installed, the ink has been adjusted, the blanket has been cleaned, the work piece has been registered, and the printing color is basically the same as the proofs. It was agreed that if we find out the problem, all printing plates must be re-produced and cause huge time and property losses to the printing companies.

Some printing companies want to eliminate the above problems through plate detection, but I think this is not the best solution, mainly because:

First, even if we find a mistake in the printing plate, that is after the plate is completed, so it will also bring some loss to the printing company.

Second, because the printing plate is coated with colors, it is difficult to see the details of the image.

Third, you cannot check color or overlapping images.

Fourth, the possibility of scratching the plate during additional processing is very high.

How can we solve these problems? First, we can install a large-screen, high-resolution monitor in the prepress department, and then let the operator check the printed documents before making the plates. In this process, we can find a lot of problems and correct them in a timely manner, thus improving the efficiency of printing production while saving costs.
