Japan launches transparent PP in-mold label

The transparent material can reflect the color of the container itself, so that the label and the container can be harmoniously combined to truly achieve the "no label" effect. The transparent inner label solves the common problem of edge-hanging of the transparent PP and PE self-adhesive labels, reduces the cost compared to the expensive bottle body screen printing, and has better printing effect itself, and is also suitable for hot and cold bronzing. Therefore, when the transparent PP in-mold label is put on the market, it is widely used in the daily chemical industry and packaging industry that pay attention to the appearance of the container. Taking into account the user's increasingly stringent cost control of its product containers, Japan's YuPo recently introduced a white "thin" high-light in-mold label. The "thin" material has better performance than the widely used high-gloss PP in-mold materials from the printing adaptability to the molding effect. Industry insiders predict that "thin" materials will gradually replace the first generation of high-intensity in-mold materials. One of the reasons is that users can lower their labels with almost no changes (ie, no adjustments to mold equipment and printing processes are required). The second reason is that the use of "thin" materials can increase the strength of the container. In terms of environmental protection and cost, more and more users use thinner or lighter containers, and combining “thin” materials allows thinner containers to also use in-mold labels and increase the strength of the containers.
