A few days ago, a research result of college students in the School of Architecture and Engineering of Yangzhou University was awarded the national patent.

“Anti-seismic stairway” is a suspended staircase that is not connected to the wall of the building. During the earthquake, there will be at most swaying of the front, rear, left and right, and the swaying will not cause it to “scatter the frame”. In terms of material selection, the “seismic stairway” is adopted. A new material called LVL, which has a small density and can withstand a large force, and has a small self-weight and a high connection strength, which reduces the probability of the stairs breaking down and falling when the stairs themselves shake.
