Adhesive edge tilt problem

There are mainly the following reasons that cause the edges of stickers to warp:

1 The viscosity of the glue is too weak: a suitable glue material should be selected;

2 Pressing roller pressure is not enough: the reason and solution are as above;

3 Label surface material: When selecting the label surface material, whether the labeling object is planar or curved surface, whether it is a large diameter or a small diameter, whether it is a single surface or a spherical surface, is a rigid body or a compressible deformation, these indicators are the same as the surface material Direct relationship. Flexible bottles should be made of soft materials such as PE, PVC, unstretched PP, and PE and PP synthetic materials. Hard bottles can be considered to use PET, BOPP, PS materials;

4. Improper selection of adhesives: When choosing adhesive adhesives, it is first necessary to determine whether the adhesives needed for the manufactured adhesive labels are permanent or removable, whether they are pasted or reattached. And whether the product has special requirements for the chemical properties of adhesive tape adhesives. For example, on a large curvature surface (a circular substrate with a diameter of less than 2cm, as shown in the figure below), the surface material should not be thick or hard material (such as mirror coated paper), and should be thin film or soft. Paper materials and adhesives with higher initial viscosity; For containers that require hot filling, adhesive materials should be selected from film materials and adhesives with good initial viscosity;

5 poor film tension control: the correct film after the label is peeled off from the bottom of the paper flat, not curled, the label can maintain good followability after labeling; film tension is too tight label from the bottom of the paper After leaving, the label is curled up, which leads to the phenomenon of label degumming and warping after labeling.

6 Bottle shape design is unreasonable: Reasonable design should be that the surface within bottle body labeling area is flat (mainly in flat round body design), but if the surface within the labeling area is partially spherical, paper label is used When the labeling area has a large area, the bottom of the labeling is easy to wrinkle on both sides.

Of course, the above phenomena are just a few kinds of failures that often occur when labeling stickers. In practice, there are many complex labeling problems that require us to inquire and analyze.
