High-efficiency air filtration technology is a key technical equipment for biosafety protection, especially the construction of high-level biosafety laboratories. Due to the monopoly by western developed countries, China's high-level biosafety laboratory construction has long been subject to import dependence and restrictions. In order to break this situation, the National Science and Technology Major Special Project Office launched the "R & D and Application of Disposal Equipment for Air Pollution Disposal of High-Level Pathogen Microbiology Laboratory" in 2009. Qi Jiancheng, a researcher at the Institute of Health Equipment of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, who led the subject, led the team members to work hard to overcome key technical problems such as full-efficiency leak detection, scanning leak detection, and gas disinfection on the site of high-efficiency air filters, and successfully developed high-efficiency air. Filter unit, high-efficiency air filter scanning leak detection device and software, gas circulation disinfection device and electric biological type sealed valve. After testing by the National Construction Engineering Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, the technical performance indicators of high-efficiency air filter units and electric bio-type sealed valves have reached the international advanced level of similar products.
The assessment concluded that the successful development of a series of high-efficiency air filtration equipment has met the specific needs of the national major infectious disease prevention and control for the construction of high-level pathogenic microbiology laboratories, and effectively solved the pollution of high-level biosafety laboratories that have been built or are under construction in China. The technical difficulties in air emission disposal equipment have provided strong technical support for the construction of the national pathogen detection technology platform, laboratory animal technology platform and laboratory biological safety assurance technology platform.
