New Process of Ethyl A-linolenate Identification

The project “Production of α-linolenic acid ethyl ester new technology” undertaken by the Xinjiang Fine Chemical Engineering Technology Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology recently passed the appraisal organized by the Department of Science and Technology of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The new process for the production of ethyl α-linolenate is a technological innovation project developed by the Center for the use of linseed oil, an advantageous resource in Xinjiang, combined with market demand. Researchers have developed a new process for the production of alpha-linolenic acid ethyl ester based on the previous process technology for the production of alpha-linolenic acid by the urea inclusion method, combined with advanced thin-film evaporation technology and molecular distillation technology. The high quality α-linolenic acid ethyl ester produced by this process has reached the quality standard of foreign products. The technology route is reasonable and the promotion is of great significance. The technology has reached the domestic leading level.
In addition to lowering blood lipids, cholesterol, blood pressure, anti-cancer and other functions, α-linolenic acid ethyl ester can also prevent allergic diseases and has the effect of promoting growth. The market prospect is broad.
