In addition, in the newspaper industry platemaking industry, with the widespread use of CTP, the problem of the connection between advertising files and ordinary layout files is becoming more and more prominent. Advertisers provide a variety of files, and the production and distribution system adopted by the newspaper is not necessarily compatible with the requirements of the advertising company. The author believes that solving the font problem when publishing electronic files in advertising companies is more conducive to the use of CTP, which not only saves the cost of film output by advertising companies, but also greatly shortens the time for plate making and improves the timeliness of publishing.
There are several ways to solve the lack of fonts in the haircut:
1. Upgrade the layout software, complete configuration font library, including Huaguang series font library and its upgraded font library, Founder series font library and Founder GBK font library, Hanyi font library, Wending font library, Handing font library, etc. Pay attention to the constant upgrade of the font, because some advertising designers often use new fonts in pursuit of the novel effects of advertisements. It is necessary to ensure the consistency of the fonts used by the font layout and the front-end design software. This approach is the fundamental way to solve the problem, but the cost is very high. The more fonts you buy, the greater the investment cost, and the font upgrade is also a big burden for many users, not to mention the front-end design of some companies shows that the font and The typesetting font library corresponding to the back end was not launched to the market at the same time.

In the design process, the designer is required to process some special fonts (fonts that are not in the backend layout) in the image software, so that the text exists in the form of an image, and there is no problem of layout fonts, but doing so will make the font size more The small characters are not clear, and are limited by the resolution of the image.

In addition, buying front-end display fonts on the market is also much cheaper than buying back-end fonts, and most users can afford them. System fonts are generally installed in the font path of the operating system, Windows operating systems are installed in C: \ Windows \ fonts, WindowsNT and Windows2000 and other system fonts are generally installed in X: \ winnt \ fonts (X is the drive letter installed by the operating system ).
(2) Configure fonts in the publishing software. If you use the Founder PSPNT layout system, when you reset the font, select the Use Windows font item, and then reset the font, the newly added font can be used directly for layout, without the need for back-end font layout.
If you use Huaguang's RIP2000 system, you can also use this method to solve this problem. (3) Maintenance of Windows fonts. In order to improve the performance of the system, it is recommended to add only fonts that do not exist in the hair sorting system to the Windows font library, delete the back-end hair sorting font libraries that exist in the hair sorting system in the Windows font directory, and appear newly during the hair sorting process. Font library, you need to add it to the Windows font catalog, every time you add or delete fonts, you must follow the operation method of step (2), reset the font library or re-register the font in the layout software to ensure the correct layout .
