Halstead Introduces New Microwave Food Cup Cover

The Halstead brand of British RPC Container Manufacturing Company recently designed and manufactured a unique style of packaging cup cover, specially tailored to the microwave food series of soups of Heinz Foods (a well-known multinational food company headquartered in the United States) to ensure that the soup Perfect quality and convenience for customers.

RPC specially designed this cup cover for the fast pace of life of modern consumers. It is used in Heinz's tomato soup, tomato dry soup, corn chicken soup, mushroom soup and other soup microwave oven foods. Such foods can be used in supermarkets, etc. Available in retail stores. Before the soup is cooked, remove the lid, tear off a thin layer of film on the lid, and cover the lid to allow microwave heating.

The RPC's lid pack combines microwave-heatable features with an easy-to-eat mouthpiece (see photo). This kind of packaging makes the soup not easily leak out and guarantees the integrity of the product. At the same time, the consumer can easily open or cover it.

RPC encounters a very serious technical challenge in the manufacturing process of this cup lid - since each cup of soup is processed according to its own different ingredients such as disinfection, the physical shrinkage of the cup varies. RPC worked closely with Heinz and the manufacturer of packaging cups to ensure that the cup lids are well-adapted to match the packaging of each soup.

During casting, the cup lid is cast with a protruding Heinz logo and a safety instruction. In line with Heinz's brand design, the lid has two colors, red and white.

"Convenient and solid cup lid packaging has a vital role in the success of soup-type microwave foods in the market," commented Richard Reichinger, Heinz Foods' representative. "The design of the RPC completely meets our requirements for convenience of eating."
