Dress is a mirror

Of course, not all types of body displays and packages have a definite or symbolic sexual meaning in nature. Some costumes are used only to illustrate wealth, social status, cultural background, or job type. Some garments are purely protective and functional, such as wet suits, welding protective clothing, mountaineering clothing, or sterile garments worn in the operating room. Some are used for dress up purposes to make the wearer look like a demon or a saint. However, these clothing styles are very special and are used in specific situations. The purpose is not to highlight the sexy area, but to wear other clothes while wearing them. Although it is not visible to outsiders wearing it, it also proves the gender of the wearer.

What kind of clothes the guests do not wear is intended to highlight their individual characteristics. The performance is either young, or wealthy, or intelligent, or artistic, or converse, or robust. The wearers try to beautify themselves no matter what kind of clothing they wear. .

In The Psychology of Clothes, published in 1929, Prof. Flugel discussed in depth the numerous secondary motives of dress. Some of us have already introduced it before, but it is still necessary to repeat it: status identification, geographical ethnicity, showing off wealth, extending limbs, professional characteristics, shame and protection, personal expression, gender distinction, and so on. Other writers supplemented this content by adding the following motivations: magic, exorcism, various aesthetic reasons, and marital desires. However, Professor Flügel pointed out very clearly: “All the students in the elective costume profession have realized that among all the motives for dressing, the motives linked to sex life occupy an important position,” the professor concluded. "In terms of origin, clothing is used to a large extent to enhance the sexual attractiveness of the wearer and attract the attention of others to the body's sexual organs."

However, some authors will argue that the purpose of choosing clothing is to display a variety of dresser information, to protect the body or based on other practical reasons. However, as far as my experience as a fashion designer and costume historian, quite a lot of people still hope to maximize their own physical strength through clothing. Many of them may be ignorant of the sexual signals conveyed by the dress, but sexual code information will still play an important role in the selection of clothing.
