CorelDRAW text typesetting practical tips (a)

Many people will complain that CorelDraw's text layout is not easy to use. Actually, only a very large number of people have not found any tricks in the use of CorelDRAW typesetting or did not thoroughly understand the functions of CorelDraw. This has caused some people to complain about the text layout function of CorelRAW. In fact, the core RAW function in this area is very powerful, and will now practice the operation to illustrate the use of skills.

Common skills

1. There are two ways to use the corelDRAW text: Artwork text and paragraph text. Under normal circumstances, there are fewer headlines and texts and there is no need to force alignment of the available artwork text. If you have a large section of text and you want to branch and align, please use paragraph text. 2. The source of the text is also in two ways: First, enter it directly in the corelDRAW. Second, there are already existing methods such as Word documents or notepads, and even other typesetting softwares need to be copied. Perhaps the most common problem we have encountered is how well the text in Word documents is applied to CorelDRAW. Here's a tip for me:

a First, observe whether there is a downward grey arrow at the end of each paragraph of the Word document (this is mostly the case where articles copied from the Internet are directly pasted into Word). (Figure 1)

If you have noticed, this little arrow would be hard to beat if you didn't handle it first in Word and copy text directly into Coreraw. Method: In the word, move the cursor to the small gray arrow, press the Enter key, and press the Delete key one by one to delete it. If you don't do this, you will find that the text will be directly copied to the coreldraw and the exact alignment will appear. Is this a big head? (Figure 2)

b Press ctrl+A to select the text, click on the "body" button in Figure 3 (this is the word2000 style, wordXP on the "clear format"), then press ctrl+C to copy the text, and finally paste it into corelDRAW. This little trick is really my own touch. As for why you do this, try to make a difference between doing it yourself and doing it yourself. The day before yesterday, I saw someone say that I would copy the text of the word into Notepad and copy it to corelDRAW. If you need text alignment, please use paragraph text. After copying the text in word, draw a text box with text tool in corelDRAW and press ctrl+V to paste the text just copied in. Then you can set the text format and press ctrl+T to bring up the text format panel. I have said that the text of the coreldraw lineup is powerful here. (Figure 4)

Let's take a closer look at this panel and notice that the functionality is still quite numerous. (Figure 4) a font panel: set the font, font size, and so on. Generally set in the property bar. b Alignment panel: Set the mode. If it is a paragraph text, you must select "completely". There is an indentation option in the lower right corner, where "first line" is the place where the first line of each paragraph is empty. Generally use the 9th character, enter 7mm on the line, the greater the font size, the number entered here will increase accordingly. This panel uses the defaults elsewhere. (Figure 5)

c Pitch panel: Set the kerning and line spacing. I generally set it like this: Character: 0 Word: Regardless of it, Line: 140, Before paragraph: Regardless of it, After paragraph: 140, Different language spacing: Regardless of it (Figure 6)

It is particularly important to note here that the value of "after paragraph" must be the same as the value of the above line spacing. If it is not the same, the following figure will appear. (Figure 7)

d Anchor panel: Don't worry about it (I don't know what to do here). (Figure 8)

e Frames and Columns: Columns and spacing settings. Rows of newspapers and text are more useful here. The number of columns, column width, column spacing can be set according to their own needs (Figure 9), the specific value of their own groping.

f Effect panel: This is actually a bullet and first character sink. It will be used when arranging some pictures (Figure 10).

h Rule Panel: This is also a very important feature. I have never understood what this is for. But it was accidentally discovered by me once. I do not know if you have ever encountered this situation: the punctuation mark at the end of the sentence suddenly went to the next line. (Figure 11) This situation is not in line with the rules of Chinese typesetting, want to change it will be set here. If you select "start character", "follow character" or "other character", this will not happen.

The text format mentioned above is coreldraw9. The panel of the coreldraw11 or coreldraw12 will be a little different, but they are similar. Really apply the above setting techniques, I believe you will take a look at the text layout features of corelDRAW. In fact, people who write software have taken into account many of the features we have in practical applications, but we do not dig deeper.
