Mr. Wang then found the decoration company to discuss the statement, but the other party refused to compensate, and said that the decoration materials are provided by the manufacturer. If there is a problem, the consumer should report it to the manufacturer and have nothing to do with himself. Mr. Wang complained about the decoration company to the Consumers Association. However, because the factory provided the environmental protection material certificate issued by the relevant department, and Mr. Wang did not mention the compensation related to the air pollution in the room in the contract signed with the decoration company, it can only be lost.

To this end, the City Consumers Association reminds consumers that many people think that the use of environmentally friendly materials for home improvement is environmentally friendly decoration, in fact, is a misconception. Because even if all the environmentally friendly materials are used, due to the problem of material superposition, the air quality may not be up to standard after the renovation of the living room. In addition, consumers often pay attention to whether the main material is environmentally friendly, and ignore the auxiliary materials such as adhesives for bonding. Some inferior adhesives contain harmful substances such as benzene and formaldehyde, which will also cause harm to human health. Therefore, for the air pollution problems that occur in the decoration, it must be written into the decoration contract, the contractual clauses are agreed in advance, and the relevant documents are retained in order to protect their legitimate rights and interests.
