A4 paper is the familiar paper size. Generally, the workbooks, office papers, and fax papers on the market belong to the A4 model. How do you calculate the size of the A3 paper and even the paper sizes of A2, A1, and A0?
A3 paper refers to the A3 standard paper, which is the international standard. Its size is 297mm × 420mm, which is twice that of A4 paper, and the size of A4 paper is 210mm × 297mm.
The drawings in the national standard can be divided into A5, A4, A3, A2, A1, and A0 from small to large. Among them, A0 is the largest, and there are rarely drawings smaller than A3 (unless some special industries).
The ratio of the long side to the short side of the drawings of various drawing numbers is the same, which is 1.414213562, which is the square root of 2. In other words, if the drawing is one number less, the area is doubled.
For example: A0 measures 1189mm × 841mm, A1 measures 841mm × 594mm, A2 measures 594mm × 420mm, A3 measures 420mm × 297mm, A4 measures 297mm × 210mm, and so on.
