The food industry (wine, meat, oil, sugar, fish processing, etc.) is well developed. There are oil and gas extraction. The North Caucasus Railway traverses the entire territory. The sea is developed and there is the largest oil export port in the country, Novorossiysk. Sochi and other places along the Black Sea coast are famous tourist resorts.

A series of political and cultural exchanges, such as the 2006 China Russia Year and the 2007 Russia China Year, promoted the deepening of economic relations between the two countries. At present, China ranks among the top five countries in terms of bilateral trade volume between Russia and Russia. Russia is an important source of timber for China, and China is Russia's largest timber export market. Sino-Russian forestry cooperation is mainly based on log trade and timber harvesting in Russia, and gradually develops in the field of deep processing of wood. From January to March 2011, the export of furniture at Manzhouli Port was US$708,000, a year-on-year increase of 57.3%. New styles and high quality Chinese furniture are popular in the Russian market. In addition, at present, the import tariffs on domestic furniture production equipment and shortage of spare parts in Russia are relatively high. Domestic enterprises carry out technological transformation of furniture to improve the quality of products, which is restrained to a certain extent. The raw materials for furniture production, the shortage of domestic energy and the rising cost of production costs to enterprises. The formation of greater pressure, the price of Russian-made furniture is close to the price of imported products, losing the competitive advantage of the local market. At the same time, in recent years, China's wood products industry has developed rapidly. Wooden building materials, furniture and accessories, and daily necessities are both aesthetically decorative and practical, and are welcomed and loved by Russian residents. At present, Russia's economic and social development is stable and fast, and the average monthly salary of people is about RMB 3,650. Among them, Moscow has the highest per capita wage, equivalent to RMB 6,700; the Far East region bordering China is the lowest, about 3,200 to 3,360 yuan. Real wage growth has greatly exceeded the growth rate of GDP. The common people shared the fruits of economic growth, and the purchasing power of ordinary people has greatly increased. The Russian Ministry of Finance announced that real wages will increase by 50% in the next three years. By 2020, per capita GDP will reach $29,400. The views of ordinary people on furniture will directly determine the direction of the furniture industry.
