A few days ago, Standard Chartered Bank announced on its official website that it will adjust the POS consumer transaction limit issued by the bank for the debit card, and the cardholder will conduct credit card consumption transactions on the sales terminal (POS) with the UnionPay logo on the inside and outside. The single-card single-day cumulative consumer transaction limit will be raised from the current RMB 500,000 (or equivalent foreign currency) to 1 million yuan (or equivalent foreign currency).

It is understood that the adjustment has taken effect from March 2, Standard Chartered Bank also said that the bank will adjust the limited content according to the relevant regulations and business needs from time to time according to the transaction risks of various regions at home and abroad, mainly considering Risk issues. Standard Chartered Bank did not expressly state the reasons for the adjustment. However, not long ago, commercial banks such as Bank of Communications also adjusted the daily cumulative limit of personal online banking payments, which respectively raised the tradable limit. The previous quota may have restricted the consumption of some people (such as small business owners) and raised the transaction. The limit is also normal.
