The main factors affecting the quality of the film are:
1. Ink
Products that need to be coated with pre-coated film are best printed with bright light and quick-drying ink when printing, but it is not advisable to put more catalyst when using, otherwise the surface of the ink layer will be crystallized. In addition, the difference in ink viscosity and oil content will affect the coating effect.
2. Application of adhesive
The adhesive layer on the BOPP film needs to be thin and uniform. On the premise of ensuring a firm bond, try to choose a thinner pre-coated film of the adhesive coating, otherwise it will affect its melting effect.
Common problems and solutions of laminating
1. The product appears snowflakes
(1) The pressure of the rubber roller is not enough, the pressure should be increased appropriately.
(2) The glue on the pre-coated film is not completely melted, which can be solved by the following methods.
â‘ Properly increase the film temperature.
â‘¡ Increase the contact area between the film and the heating roller to increase the degree of thermal melting of the adhesive on the film at the same speed.
â‘¢ Reduce the coating speed.
(3) There is dust and impurities on the glued surface of the pre-coated film, which should be removed in time.
2. Product wrinkles
(1) The pressure of the rubber roller is too large, so that the film is deformed, and the pressure should be appropriately reduced.
(2) The surface of the rubber roller is damaged and uneven, and the rubber roller should be replaced.
(3) The pressure imbalance between the rubber roller and the heating roller should be properly adjusted.
(4) The tension on both sides of the film is inconsistent, or there are wavy edges, the film material should be replaced.
3. The product curls after slitting
(1) The tension of the film is too large, which causes the membrane to expand and contract. The tension screw should be adjusted to the membrane.
(2) The winding tension is large, and the film and paper are deformed at the same time. The winding tension mechanism should be adjusted.
(3) The humidity of the environment is large, and the humidity of the production workshop should be controlled at about 60%.
(4) The drying time is short, and the drying time should be extended appropriately. After the coated product is completely dried and cooled on the winding roller, the film is cut.
4. Insufficient adhesion, peeling off
(1) If the pre-coating film exceeds the shelf life, replace it with a new one.
(2) If the ink layer of the printed matter is not dry, the drying time of the printed matter should be extended, especially when laminating the special printed matter.
(3) The lamination pressure is small, the speed is fast, and the temperature is low. The lamination pressure can be appropriately increased to reduce the lamination speed and increase the lamination temperature.
