【Purpose requirement】
1. Observe the interference phenomenon of light and master a method of splitting the front optical path to achieve double beam interference;
2. Interferometric measurement of light wavelength using a double prism;
3. Learn the coaxial adjustment method of the double prism interference optical path;
4. Learn to use the micrometer eyepiece to measure the tiny length.
【Experimental Principle】
The interference of light reflects the fluctuation of light, which refers to the phenomenon of redistribution of light intensity caused by the superposition of light waves. It is impossible for two independent light sources to interfere, and the light emitted by the same light source must be used to generate coherent light beams using the method of sub-wavefront or sub-amplitude.
【Experiment content】
1. Experimental optical path and optical path adjustment;
2. Measure the wavelength of sodium light;
3. Use incandescent lamps instead of sodium lamps as the light source, observe the interference fringes, record the observed phenomena and make corresponding explanations;
4. Double prism experiment with He-Ne laser as light source.
