Demand slightly down wrapping paper and waste paper prices separation

In the second half of January, near the Spring Festival, downstream cardboard and carton enterprises supplemented the stock of raw paper, and the orders for paper-making enterprises' corrugated paper increased. Due to the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, paper-making enterprises mainly focused on returning funds, and did not significantly increase the price of raw paper.

Expected within a short time, dominated by corrugated paper prices flat to down trend. In the medium and long term, after the end of the Spring Festival, packaging paper will enter the off-season demand, and the price of corrugated paper will be dominated by shock consolidation.

In January 2018, the price of waste paper rose and fell. The Spring Festival is approaching, as paper mills are beginning to suspend production and holiday, the demand for waste paper has fallen.

From the perspective of import data, up to now, the total approved waste paper imports from 2018 to the fourth batch was about 4.19 million tons, and the total approved paper imports from 2017 to the fourth batch were about 26.9 million tons.

In the medium and long term, the domestic waste paper price may continue or will be higher than the 2017 price trend; as the packaging paper enters the off-season demand, the short-term waste paper price will be dominated by the shock consolidation trend.

In January 2018, the price of wood pulp was mainly down. Compared with the same period of last year, the price of wood pulp in 2017 was mainly due to the upward trend. Although the demand situation was weaker than that of the same period of last year, the demand season in 2018 seemed to have ended prematurely, but the price was Higher than the same period last year. As paper companies begin to take a holiday, it is expected that the price of wood pulp will continue to be stable in a short period of time.
